Book Consignment Agreement
By consigning your textbooks for sale through the Bishop Sullivan CHS Book Store, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Once books are consigned, they become part of the Book Store inventory and cannot be returned for any reason.
- Consignment value ($ paid to the consignee) is 50% the price of the book when new, but may reflect any price adjustment made by the Book Store due to condition.
- Used book prices are set at 60% the value of the book when new, but the Book Store reserves the right to adjust prices if books are in below average condition. The additional 10% is used to partly cover administrative costs.
- If a book is not sold within two years of the consignment date, it becomes the property of Bishop Sullivan CHS.
- The Book Store will make the final determination of salability of a book. Reasons books may be rejected include, but not limited to, excessively poor condition, inappropriate writing/pictures, wrong edition, and/or broken bindings, or other conditions which might not have been discovered at the time of consignment. The Book Store reserves the right to dispose of these books as it deems appropriate.
- Payments for sold consigned books will be made twice yearly, once in September after the book sale, and once in May.
