The purpose of the book store consignment program is to provide CHS parents a convenient way to resell books and to support the CHS Student Executive Council (SEC). A small portion of the price of each consigned book sold goes to the SEC to fund projects throughout the school year. Council members work hard and give much time to the school, including during the consignment book turn-in and summer book store setup.
The dates for the 2008 consignment turn-in have tentatively been set for Thursday, June 12 and Tuesday June 17, 2008. The Turn-in in will be held in the school cafeteria from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please visit this page in May to confirm that these dates have not changed.
To facilitate the turn-in process and ensure the books you are consigning are acceptable, we ask you inspect the books you plan to turn in for consignment to make sure that...
We can only accept books in average or better condition and reserve the right to pull from consignment books that are found, after turn-in, to be damaged.
Consigned books are set at 60% of the Store's new book price at the time of turn in. The consignee receives 50% of the new book price after it has been sold. The remaining percentage goes to the Student Executive Council to help fund their school activities.
Consigning books with the CHS Book Store means you agree to be paid for the books ONLY when they are sold. This does not mean instant reimbursement for those books. See the consignment agreement for more information regarding the process.
